Who We Are
We
are a diverse, downtown, multi-racial Toronto Anglican parish. We are
110 families on the parish list with roughly 60 -70 folks coming to church
on Sundays. Our worship is warm, invigorating and relaxed. We welcome
children of all ages, especially at the 10:45am Sunday service. We are
God's people of every colour, race and gift. Some of us are poor in the
world's eyes. Some of us have more than we need. Some of us want to learn
how to pray. Some of us are enthusiastic singers and musicians.
Some of
us love the mystery of the liturgy. Some of us love to raise hands in
praise. Some of us yearn to bow our heads in quiet, private prayer and
meditation. Some of us want simply to be still for awhile. We support
projects as far away as Nigeria and El Salvador, and as near as a few
blocks from our front door. We believe in reaching out to the world around
us and being open to the mystery of the Holy Spirit and where the Spirit
leads us. Our community needs the gift of who you are. We are the poorer
without you. It could be that the gift of who we are might enrich your
life. Together we can work and pray to soften the edges of spiritual and
material hunger in our city. Whoever you might be and wherever you might
be on the spiritual journey – committed, agnostic, atheist –
we welcome you in the name of God's unconditional love.
